buildings remain in the immediate area, now called
"Crescent Beach Colony" . Small modern cottages to east .

20, HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This was Trowbridge Hollister in 1909, E.J. Way in
the 1920's owned this property. Merkel , a more recent
owner, was a meat packer in Brooklyn. He built the
dairy barns and silos . He operated this as a dairy
farm.
This house has great potential for restoration.
