2k story, 4 bay, gable roof house with off-center chimney and off-
center entrance. 1 story, gable roof wing on east with tall, slender
center chimney. 2/2 windows with louvered shutters. Shed roof
porch across the front with 4 Tuscan columns.
SIGNIFICANCE
I1). DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION_ Circa 1815 or 1818.

This house is # 59 on the map Historic Sites of Southold Town
to 1815. It is # 1 on the Summer of History 1965 map, section
3.
The house does not appear as old as 1818, but perhaps it was
updated later in the 19th century.
