Located in a low density, residential area along C.R. 48,
west of Greenport Village. House is set back from the road
in a large clearing on the bluff overlooking Long Island
Sound to the N. Wooded land to S.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
2 story, 5 bay, center entrance plan, hip roof house with high
square cupola. Semi-wraparound porch on main (south) facade with
turned posts and sawn spandrel brackets. Railing with turned
balusters. Matching porch on north facade that faces water.
Double leaf front door. Stone foundation.

'0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This house was owned by Conklin in 1873. John Hoffman owned
the property c. 1890 to 1920. Bang bought the house in 1924.
The house is especially noteworthy for its magnificent setting.
The house appears to have been owned by Kebon in 1909.
