Albertson Lane is a narrow, low density road through
open fields. It has maintained its quiet rural charac-
ter.

22-story, 5-bay gable roof house with interior end chimneys.
Roof overhang supported on heavy scrolled brackets.
Pilastered hood at side-lighted entrance is decorated with
small version of same brackets.

10. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
This house isntnamed on the 1838 map. In 1858 it was
Mr. Conklin. In 1873 it was A. Albertson. In 1897 it
was John Pell and in 1909 Mary Pell.
This fine old house contributes to Southold' s historic
heritage. It was mentioned as a landmark on Summer of
History, '1965 map, and again on 1983 Guide to Historic
Sites. .
