Reportedly this was a Frame house that was updated with brick veneer in the 1930 ' s. SIGNIFICANCE 11/. DA"IE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Prior to 1909 ARCHITECT: _-- - BUILDER: 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCEIITLCTC!RAL IMPORTANCL. This unusual house was reportedly owned by Peevey, "a lawyer for Rockefeller," in the 1930 ' x. It is one of the few early 20th century houses built on the Sound bluffs, introducing a new era in the development of Southold. Garage with rusticated concrete blocks.
