At this point Youngs Avenue crosses the railroad tracks.
The lumber yard on the east side of the road and the
Southold Produce building and elevator on the west side
form an interesting historic district.

Multi-structured lumberyard. Rails still being used for
shipments of building material. Office on Youngs Avenue
has been enlarged and extended to rear without changing
the ambience of the complex.

A very interesting complex of lumber yard, storage buildings,
and railroad sidings which are still in use. It recalls the
growth and development of the hamlet of Southold.
