Beckwith Street is a short quiet street in the inner
portion of Southold. It has preserved its ambience,
with well-kept houses surrounded by yards and greenery.

2-story, L-shaped gable roof house of vertical board-and-
batten. Group of 3 round-topped windows in 2nd floor.
Paired brackets at roof line ; small brackets at window
heads and consoles under window sills.

This house is unusual in that the original exterior has
not been altered except for the removal of the porch
that went across the front. It enhances the historic
character of the area by being a fine example of its
period.
