The following action was taken by the Southold Town Board of Trustees at their Regular
Meeting held on Wednesday, November 20th , 2002.
RESOLVED, that the Southold Town Board of Trustees Approve an Amendment to Permit
#2003 to remove existing fixed dock and float extending from an existing bulkhead and replace
in the same location with a 4'x27'6" fixed walkway 3'x14' hinged ramp and 6'x20' float three
piles are to remain - one holding float two piling poles no additional piles except what was
approved on 3/20/02 all pilings will be no greater than 6 inches in diameter.

the Town Code, is open to public comment. A public hearing will be held at Town Hall,

applications may be reviewed and comments may be submitted in writing up to 24 hours
prior to the hearing.

November 18, 2002, the following recommendation was made:

Dear Sir:
The property owners, Herbert Lindtveit and Charles Burst, wish to amend the referenced file. It is
now proposed that the ramp be 14 feet long instead of 10 feet, and that two additional existing
spiles on the east side of the float will be retained. The Project Description should be revised to
read as follows:

bulkhead and replace in the same location with a 4' x 27'-6" fixed walkway. 3' x 14' hinged

Install pier assembly consisting of a 4' x 27'-6"

As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
ACE of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c) {3) (A)), the applicant
has certified that the activity complies wiuh and will be
conducted in a manner that is consistent with the approved state
coastal zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject
application, your comments are requested within 15 days of the
date of this letter.

The Trustees are surveying the marine structures of
Southold's creeks for the purpose of establishing the
accuracy of the town records. Now in our fourth season, we
have completed the inventories of Laurel, Nattituck, and
Cutchogue creeks.
We would greatly appreciate your help in this endeavor.
Please, check your files for a permit for the ~_z~l~ ~[oc~ ,
which appears to be on your property.
If you have a pez~it, simply post the permit number on
the structure. If you do not have a permit, please complete
the enclosed application. Respond to the Trustee's office in
the Town Hall with questions a~d/or completed applications.
