HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: The Mott estate was extensive at the turn of the century. The property has now been subdivided and the house now is surrounded by other residences. For kitchen wing see form SD 101. Stanton Mott was one of the founders and a benefactor of the Archeological Society that built the Museum on Bayview Road. Mrs. Stanton Mott wrote a paper about the Society in the 1950 's. Mott was a successful publisher in New York. This was their summer residence . 21.
