Very large picturesque estate which consists of this
mansion, a smaller residence (SD 89)and some barns. It
is used in part for agricultural purposes; it fronts on
a large expanse of beach overlooking Peconic Bay.

Hancbome 22-story, 5-bay, center entrance , flat roof house
with slender corner pilasters and large dentils at roof
edge. 6/6 windows.
SIGNIFICANCE

10. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCF:
This estate is significant as a surviving example of a
large early 20th century estate. It is also significant
as it was originally a summer hotel in the 19th century.
Unusual architectural details are the handsome , elliptical
arches of the garage and connecting arbor.
