Porch across the front with sawn spandrels and chamfered posts on square pedestals. 6/6 windows on 1st floor and original dormers with 2/2 sash. Paired corbeled brick chimneys at center of house. Original patterned slate in two colors on lower slope of mansard roof. SIGNIFICANCE 1v. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: between 1858 and 1873 ARCHITECT: BUILDER: '0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: Bay Avenue is Town Harbor Road. Was Wm Glover house in 1909. Was W.H. H. Glover in 1873. This fine example of the French Second Empire style is a rarity in Southold. With its handsome setting it contributes to the historic character of the community. They arrived in Southold c. 1690. z a This house was moved in the early 1900's from its original home- site, which was the southwes Corr► operty of Town Harbor Lane and Main Street, Mr. L'Homrredieu was_ -merchant a an ear y store on the homesite.
