On the Southwest corner Miss Jerusha Horton lived in this old style
Cape Cod house which has been replaced by Gri anis' Gas Statio h,
,She was an outspoken lady of decided opinions but once she was
silenced by embarrassment. George Hort wrote a long jingle about
her when she went to a party wearing with ostentation a new waist
bought from Wanamaker's in New York. Instead of the compliments
she expected when she arrived she was treated with gales of laughter,
and wa- quite overcome when it was revealed to her that she had it
on hindside before!
