SIGNIFICANCE I1t. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Circa 1854 ARCHITECT. BUILDER: 0. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE. This house was built by Captain Sherburne A. Beckwith in 1864 when he retired from the sea. He subsequently opened up Beckwith Avenue. In 1950 this was the Dr. Harry 7. Stevens residence. Mrs. N. Beckwith owned in 1909.
