DA"fE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 1920' S ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 1920's George Smith '(a IIISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: Mrs Terry who had the store below and lived above. had the builcring constructed after a trip to Fngland where she had seen similar buildings. * This English or Normandy style building was unique in Southold in the 1920 's when it was built. Sawn decorative design with square drop in gable peak. Double bracketed window heads on second floor. Built late 19th century. This structure is shown on the 1929 Sanborn map.
