The house stands on an elevation above the road, in
medium density area in the center of the historic
hamlet of Southold. This house like many others, has a
front lawn, trees and other greenery. The Main Road, once

21-story, hip-roof, Queen Anne house. 2-story semi-hexa-
gonal bay window on west under a fagade gable matching
the fagade gable on the south (front) elevation. These
gables have decorated verge boards and heavy detailed
infill around the Queen Anne windows in gable peaks.

This house is clearly documented in the 1909 E. Belcher-
HydP Atlas and on the 1929 Sanborn Map.
The structure contributes to the ambience of this
historic highway.
