Dear Mr. Kowalski,
The following action was taken at the Southold Town Board of
Trustees meeting on February 24, 1999:
RESOLVED, that the $outhold Town Board of Trustees grant the
request for an Amendment to Permit #4979 to reduce total length
of catwalk from 144' to 79', and add a 4' X 20' ramp for access
from a proposed foot path, the 3' X 14' ramp and 6' X 20' float
stay the same as originally applied for, in accordance with DEC
and Army Corps of Engineers.

Dear Mrs. Herbert:
In accordance wSth requests by the NYS Department of Environmental
Conservation (#1-4738-02081/00001 and thc Bureau of Marine Habitat ), please find
enclosed updated map which shows a reduction in thc length of the catwalk from 144
feet ro 79 feet, and addition of a 4 ft by 20 ft. ramp for access from a proposed foot
path, to meet their recluiremcnts. Thc location has not changed, however, and therefore
is in compliance, va: understand, with thc Board's approval in November.
Pleaz~ confirm whether or nor we may obtain the fmat Permit. A copy has today
also been furnished to the Army Corps. of Engineers and other agencies. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Kowalski,
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during a Regular Meeting, held on November 18, 1998, regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, WALTER CHADWICK, applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated October 13, 1998 and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on November 18, 1998, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
WALTER CHADWICK to construct a 4' X 140' catwalk, a 3' X 14'
ramp and a 6' X 20' float with 2- 2 pile dolphins, and to
construct n 840' locust post and rail fence along the perimeter
of property (with the exception of water front area) and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years
from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.
