We feel tha~ this should not be cleared but retained not only for erosion ~, control but for asth~.'tic reasons and protection of,natural habitat for birds and other~al wildlife. Poison ivy and other undesireable vegetation should be removed. We woul~lI appreciate confirmation that this will be a provision of any permit granted. 2--Our property is currently bulkheaded to, the property line which is adjacent to request for a stone retaining wall. Wouldn t it be pre~brrable to continue standard bulkheading rather than a stone wall construction? This would tie into our existing bulkhead and provide a more uniform appearance. 3--We see no need for the 45 foot stone wall along the property line. 4--We have no other concerns regarding the proposed project. My children are so sensitive that they get a reaction without physical contact to the plant. You sa~ yesterday the effect of the poison ivy has on me after spending ten minutes cutting an access path into t~e growth. All types of medications have been tried to no avail. Since the property has gone an extensive period of time by the previous owner with no maintenance I believe the best way to eradicate the poison will be to clear out the entire piece of property, l~om that point I would be able to manage the property and not allow further growth of the poison ivy.l/ As I explained, I will be out of town on April 23rd, when you will be returning with the NY~ pEC for their evaluation of this request. I would hope that you would do all that is possible to explaift my situation and that both parties would subsequently approve my request.
