This property was the first winery on the forth Fork of Long Island. 18. DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Pre 1 800 ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 20. HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCF: Built about 1780.Foundation stones brought over from Connecticut.Western addition to building in 1865. The original 19th century east-west road passed directly south of this small house; hence the orientation of this structure. (Interview with Alexander Hargrave 3/15/86 ) The house appears to be Solomon on 1838 US Coast Survey 21.
