The Congregational Church lies on the Main Road at the
eastern end of the historic Cutchogue Village Green,
next to the Landmark Old House. Other houses surrounding it on
the Green are The Old Schoolhouse , the Wickham Farm House ,

12 story, Italianate ,egable roof church building, 4 bays deep.
Projecting entrance bay and steeple on north fagade. Gothic
headed windows on north fagade and in steeple . Gothic headed
entrance with original double-leaf paneled door. Handsome
heavy brackets under roof overhang and on two tiers of steeple
SIGNIFICANCE cornices.

20. IIISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
A deep running split regarding abolition of slavery
among the Presbyterian worshippers led to the founding
of this church, but by 1913 this church was no longer
being usedlly1914 it became the Cutchogue Free Library.
