The Old House lies on the eastern side of the historic
'Cutchogue Village Green. It is surrounded by other
buildings of historic importance, the Old School, the
Wickham Farm House, the Congr~.gational Church and the
OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior featur~e'~ge '
2½ story, 3-bay gable roof seventeenth century house.
Th~s house is notable for the large amount of original
fabric that survived. The high pilastered chimney is
original.

It is perhaps the oldest building in the State of N~w
York and one of the finest structures of the period
in the U.S.A. Its style and structure links iT to
late mediaeval English architecture.
