Tuthill (& others) as a master plan for New Suffolk in 1836.
The houses around it are well spaced and surrounded by neatly
kept yards in the manner of the traditional American Village.

Until the death of Edna Foster in 1980,this house was continuously lived in

Irene Horton,married Edwin R- Foster of Southampton in 1899,who was an In the early 1900's,it

in 1940.She lived with her father until he died in 1950 and then continued to and wagons stabled in

The Jennings House of

This green shingled house with black shutters on the corner of Main and Fourth married John Jennings
was owned by the late Mrs. Blanche Brandes. It is believed to have been built board house with Palh
between 1840 and 1850,and consists of two houses put together. DuBose,the Tuthill Acker Jennings
architect for the Holland submarine,lived here while working in New Suffolk. husband's death.The
