Box 1179 Southold, New York 11971-0959 Telephone (631) 765-1892 Fax (631) 765-1366 February 22, 2001 BOARD OF TOWN TRUSTEES TOWN OF $OUTHOLD Mr. Ted Dowd 1775 Inlet Way Southold, NY 11971 RE: 1775 Inlet Way, Southold SCTM#92-1-8 Dear Mr. Dowd: The following action was taken by the Board of Toxvn Trustees during its regular meeting held on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, TED DOWD applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated February 5, 200l, and WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on February 21, 2001 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of TED DOWD to construct an addition inside the footprint of the original home (100 sq.ft, of floor area). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. The addition is for a 100 square foot mezzanine or viewing area in the home. However, in order to meet changing requirements of the State and Town building codes, the outside dimensions of the addition are 15' X 21'. The overall height of the home will be less than 30'. The building permit application was submitted in September 1999 but took several iterations due to changes in building department personnel and coordination with the state. The final plan was verbally approved in September 2000 pending an agreed upon revision to the engineering plan. The building department approved the plan 1/30/01 pending Trustee approval. I will be unable to attend the Trustee meeting but am available anytime or during the meeting at (727) 864 1274 or (727) 867 2761 to answer any questions.
