row of private residences*bhat line the west side of the main highwQy as it
approaches the village center of Mattituck From the west.

The fr^nt door, .hich cannot be seen in the ph,-tograph, has round-' eaded
windows with panels below. Much -,f the original wood frim is still in the
interior as well .,s many of the original doors. Sliding doers separate the
dining; room from a smaller first floor ro--m. The kitchen is in a rear
extension.
SIGNIFICANCE

Beers-Comstock atlas map with the name 11G. Mood."

An unusual house with its board and batten siding. A few examples of such
houses still remain in Southold.
