It was built on a high spot for the area and can be seen from a far distance. A wood fence runs along the east perimeter of the property. 18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known): 6 storied brick tower with windows on every floor each with arched openings, high hipped roof. Interior open except for stairway to water tank. SIGNIFICANCE IDATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: 1898 ARCHITECT: BUILDER: '0, HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE. This interesting structure was the Jackson water tower. The property was about 10 acres. The nearby white house was the Jackson residence.
