3. DESCRIPTION:
This cemetery is located north of Old Main Road on the west side
of Aldrich Lane. There are approximately three hundred grave-
stones. It is surrounded by woodland , with some open fields
across the street on the far northeast side . The landscaping is
well kept as are the grave sites . The cemetery blends well with
it' s quiet pastoral setting. Aldrich Lane is a small farm road
with cultivated fields and several farmsteads.
4. SIGNIFICANCE:
This represents a typical small rural cemetery with graves of many
of the area' s early settlers such as Hudson, Howell, Hallock,
Williamson, Cleaves , Horton, Sayre , Cleaves , Penny, Wells , Drown,
Fleming, young, Fanning, Woodhull and Dey. The gravestones dates
range from the 1350' s up to the present.
