OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known): This house is 1-j storys , with gambrel roof, 3 pedimented Federal dormers with cornice returns and intricate tracery in the arched windows . Five bays across main facade with centered door and pedimented portico with elliptical arch and slender columns . Cent&al chimney, 6/6 windows on front facade. 1-- story wing to SIGNiIACith saltbox roof. I DATE OF INITIAL CONSTRUCTION: Early 180Q' s ARCHITECT: BUILDER: 'i HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE: Found in the walls during remodeling were 19th c. letters from past owners (Young) and women' s sufferage leaflets dattng 1863 . Also letter to Hudson found in wall. This handsome house resembles the Fleet , Goldsmith, Kendrick House in Cutchogue . 21. Unusual brick building; built 19205, patterned after those John Husing recalled in Germany. Arched windows and individual arched openings to the pig pens inside. Pen partitions have been removed from interior, 24S-36K-3 Nolte (YRunLS) Southold Xain Road, LaureY 3-bay English, ca. 1800. Framing type 5- 33' x 20' (enlarged to 33' x 281 ), height �., to plate, 121 . Heavy hewn oak timber frame. Was 20' deep (Saltbox?); late 19th century increased depth to 281 , or back wall raised to create barn with larger loft. Later addidion in circular sawn pine. 2 pre-1900 buildings. 265-475-1 Haberman(?) Southold Main Road, Orient 3-bay English, dated 1901 on weathervane.
