The school sits on the junction where Old Main Road and the newer
Rt. 25 meet. To the west and south are private residences .
Rt. 25 is a small two lane tree-lined state road.
18. OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES OF BUILDING AND SITE (including interior features if known):
One story with raised basement, hipped roof* pedimented main
entry on south facade with gabled roof and cornice returns
and semi-circular window. A simple porch with hipped roof,
sidelights surrounding panelled door. Basement has 3/3
windows. West and east elevations have ten grouped windows with
SIGNIFICANCE five sashes in each row.

'0. HISIORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL IMPORTANCE:
Laurel School remains one of the few small rural schools
retaining a unique atmosphere and tradition. It is
relatively unaltered .
