Dear Ms. Alvarez:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday, June 18, 2003 regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, Land Use Ecological Services, Inc. on behalf of BRIAN MCGINN applied to the
Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town
Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated May 9, 2003, and,
WHEREAS, said application ~as referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Heating was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
June 18, 2003, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold
Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,
safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of BRIAN MCGINN to add a
32'X 24' wood deck approx. 35' from the existing bulkhead, add a bay window to existing
single-family dwelling, add a front porch approx. 41 'X 5', and a revised walkway, as depicted on
the survey prepared by Anthony Abruzzo last dated March 1, 2003.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit is signed.
Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Inspections are required at a fee of $5.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)

CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
At the meeting of the Southold Town Consergation Advisory Council held Monday,
June16, 2003, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Melvyn Morris, seconded by Don Wilder, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees DISAPPROVAl_ of
the Wetland Permit application of BRIAN MCGINN to add a 32'X 24' wood deck approx.
40' from the existing bulkhead, add a bay window to existing single-family dwelling, add
a front porch approx. 41'X 5', and a revised walkway.
Located: 645 Watersedge Way, Southold. SCTM#88-5o61.1
The CAC recommends Disapproval of the application because the project was not
staked and the plans were unclear, however the CAC recommends a 10' non-tuff buffer.
