Dear Ms. Long,
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its Regular Meeting held on August 26, 1998, regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, PATRICK LOHN, applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated July 9, 1998 and,
WHEREAS, said application was
Conservation Advisory Council
recon~mendations, and
referred to the Southold Town
for their findings and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on August 26, 1998, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
PATRICK LOHN to remove an existing timber bulkhead and install
approx. 142' of shoreguard series 500 vinyl, relocate 2- 4' X 8'
lower platforms, maintenance dredge to -4' at ALW and approx. 25
c.y. of spoil to be trucked to approved upland area, and a 5'
non-turf/non-fertilized buffer placed landward of bulkhead.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years
from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c) (3) (A)), the applicant
has certified that the activity complies with and will be
conducted in a manner that is consistent with the approved state
coastal zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject
application, your comments are requested within 20 days of the
date of this letter.
