Box 447 Greenport, NY 11944 RE: PETER COSOLA 2880 MINNEHAHA BLVD., SOUTHOLD SCTM#87-3-43 Dear Mr. Angell: The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on Wednesday, April 21,2004 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, Alpha Consulting on behalf of PETER COSOLA applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated March 19, 2004, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on April 21,2004, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of th~ Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of PETER COSOLA to construct a 3'X 28' open pile fixed pier, a 3'X 15' hinged ramp, and a 6'X 20' float and one (1) float pile, and a 4'X 6' ramp landward of the existing wall to access the fixed pier, and as depicted on the plan prepared by Alpha Consulting last dated April 22, 2004. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Inspections are required at a fee of $50.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.) SCTM#87-3-43 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to us, it is our recommendation that the proposed action is INCONSISTENT with LWRP policy standards and therefore is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP. Our proposal is consistent with this polio/in presently there is an existing dock and with the additional mooring piling will make the dock a more safer place to berth a boat. Policy 3 Enhance visual quality and prol~ scenic resources throughout the Town of Southold. Our proposal will not have a negative impact on the visual quality or scenic resources.
