Box 617 Cutchogue, NY 11935 RE: JOHN BIGGANE 8871 Oregon Rd., Cutchogue SCTM#83-1-34 Dear Mr. Fitzgerald: The following action xvas taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, Proper-T Permit ServiCes on behalf of JOHN BIGGANE applied to the Southold Toxvn Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated February 2, 2001 and WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on February 21, 2001 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 9'7 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of JOHN BIGGANE to construct a bulkhead 142' long at toe of bluff with return at western end of length so that top of bulkhead return meets the slope of the bluff; backfill behind bulkhead to level of top of bulkhead; plant filled area with American beachgrass on 18" centers; place rock armoring at base of bulkhead on seaward side. Construct stairs fi.om top ofbluffto beach at seaward side of bulkhead, overall run approx. 85 fi. All run-off must be contained in drywells as indicated on drainage plan dated February 20, 2001. Pictures must be submitted before work is started and after work 'is completed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency ~vhich may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification.
