I am requesting a meeting at this site with the Trustees so I may be able to describe some possibilities of good retainment & resolve the ongoing problem. Southold, NY Dear Mr. Bowman: The following action as taken by the Board of Town Trustees during a Regular Meeting, held on March 20, 2002, regarding the above matter. WHEREAS, Land Use Ecological Services, lnc, on behalf of Dr. Joseph Casarona applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated February 27, 2002 WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on March 20, 2002 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code. 2 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT. RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approved the application of Dr. Joseph Casarona for a Wetland Permit to stabilize/restore eroded bluff face by undertaking the following activities approximately 700 +/- cubic yards of clean fill to be utilio re-grade existing slope. All material to be trucked in from an approved offsite location approximately 2,700 sq. fi. of bluff face to be augmented with 20 cubic yards of 2" thick layer of topsoil and then hydroseeded in accordance with plan specifications. Proposed to install a 4'x85' timber access walk (total) with 4'x 6' timber platforms for access to beach area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency, which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Fee must be paid, if applicable and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. CASARONA-CUTCHOGUE, NY PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Applicant proposes to stabilize/restore eroded bluff face by undertaking the following activities on the subject lot: · Approximately 750 c.yds, of clean material shall be trucked to the site and utilized to re-grade slope. · Approximately 125+ tons of 500-2000 lb. stone to be placed in filter fabric along toe of~ eroded bluff. Toe armor returns to extend into existing bluff face. · Approximately 3,600+ s.f. of bluff face to be augmented with 25+ c.yds of 2" thick layer of topsoil and then hydroseeded in accordance with plan specifications. Additionally, applicant proposes to install a 4'x85' timber access walk with 4'x6' timber platforms for access to the beach.
