Dear Mr. Walker:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday January 19, 2005 regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, Inter-Science as agent for PARADISE POINT ASSOCIATION applied to
the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the
Southold Town Code, the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application
dated December 27, 2004, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory
Council for their findings and recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said
application on January 19, 2005 at which time all interested persons were given an
opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the
premises in question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the
Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the
health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of PARADISE POINT
ASSOCIATION, INC. to repair the existing bulkhead with stone return at the end of the
bulkhead, and all as depicted on the plan prepared by inter-Science and last dated 1-
20-05.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit
is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the
date of this notification.
Inspections are required at a fee of $50.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)
This is not a determination from any other agency.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH
A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of PARADISE POINT ASSOC., INC.
to repair the existing bulkhead.
Located: Basin Rd., Southold. SCTM#81-1-16.10
The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition the bulkhead is
repaired in-place.

Point Association, Inc. property. The revised plans show the stone return at the end of the bulkhead
to be repaired. This office has also sent these materials to New York State Department of
Environmental Conservation, Army Corps of Engineers and New York State Department of State.
Please issue the formal approval based upon these plans.

Laser prints of representative color photographs of the bulkhead.
The existing bulkhead will be repaired by installing new plastic sheathing directly behind the existing timber
sheathing. The existing fill, present at the west jetty, ~vill be used to stabilize the area behind the existing
timber bulkhead once the new plastic sheathing has been installed. Whalers will be repaired in place and
in kind, as needed. No other repairs or replacements are proposed or necessary.
This package bas been submitted concurrently with a request made to the New York State
Department o fEnvironmental Conservation, New York State Department o fState and Army Corps of
Engineers.
