SUPERVISOR MURPHY: Thank you, Jean. You've heard the official reading of
the notice. Is there anyone here would like to speak on behalf of this proposed
Local Law? (No response.) Anyone like to speak in opposition? (No response.)
This is being done - the one in Southold - for snow plowing. It's impossible for
the Highway Department to get through unless this is in effect. Anyone like to
make a comment at all?
COUNCILMAN STOUTENBURGH: I might just add that I have spoken to some
people in the Marratooka Road area and they say this is dearly needed down there
because it's a hangout and sort of beer bottle throwing place and what have you,
so I think it's well worthwhile.
SUPERVISOR MURPHY: Thank you. Anyone else? Any other Councilman want
to have any comments? (No response.) If not I'll close this hearing.
