CCA timber dock, elevated a min. of 4' above the existing_wetlands vegetation (16) 4"x4" CCA
timber dock pilings to support the dock and (1) 6" CCA timber mooring pile 10'+/-to the west
side of the dock, all with the condition that the seaward end of the dock is shifted to the east so
the dock is perpendicular to the bulkhead across the creek, and the dock with the boat shall
extend no further than 1/3 across the navigable waterway;

Dear Mr. Hall:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday, December 19, 2001 regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, Land Use Ecological Services, Inc. on behalf of FRANCIS & MARIA
MCNAMEE applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the
Wetland Ordinance of the Town of S outhold, application dated November 1, 2001, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
December 19, 2001, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of thc Southold
Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,
safety and general welfare of the people of the town,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of FRANCIS & MARIA
MCNAMEE to construct a dock facility which consists ofa 4'X 30' fixed CCA timber dock,
elevated a minimum of 4' above the existing wetlands vegetation. (16) 4"X 4" CCA timber dock
pilings to support the dock and (1) 6" CCA timber mooring pile 10'+/- to the west side of the
dock, all with the condition that the seaward end of the dock is shifted to the east so the dock is
perpendicular to the bulkhead across the creek, and the dock with the boat shall extend no further
than 1/3 across the navigable waterway, all as depicted on the revised plan dated January 7,
2002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination
made for any other Department or Agency, which may also have an application pending for the
same or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years fi.om the date it is signed. Fees
must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued with/n six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified upon completion of said project.
Fees: $240.00

received a request for Department of the Army authorization for

Install a 4 foot by 32 foot fixed timber pier
elevated a minimum of 4 feet above the grade of

As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c) (3) (A)), the applicant
has certified that the activity complies with and will be
conducted in a manner that is consistent with the approved state
coastal zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject
application, your comments are requested within 20 days of the
