Adoption of Meeting Minutes:

MOTION made by Craig Arm, seconded by John Sepenoski, to accept minutes
of the February 6, 2005 meeting.
Motion carried 4/0.

Reviewed status of offer.
Presentation made by Randy Parsons of The Nature Conservancy as to status of
file since landowners rejected offer made by Land Preservation Committee in
April 2004, and no counter-offer made.
MOTION made by Ray Blum, seconded by Craig Arm, to authorize Randy
Parsons of The Nature Conservancy to act on the committee's behalf, to make
another offer to landowners for a package deal of all five connecting parcels.
Motion carried 4/0.

Melissa Spiro directed by committee members to contact landowner concerning
number of acres to be included in development rights easement. Melissa will
report to committee as to outcome of said meeting.
Ray Blum, if available, offered to go with Melissa to meet with property owners, if
necessary.

Reviewed status of application.
Melissa met with one of the landowners concerning a proposed plan for the
property that included the sale of development rights on approximately 15+
acres, a 40,000 sq ft lot around the Bridge Lane structure, and a 2.9+ lot around
the existing house and accessory structures.
MOTION made by Craig Arm, seconded by John Sepenoski, directing Melissa
Spiro to commission an appraisal based upon the concept plan, as presented by
landowner, on the subject property.
Motion carried 4/0.
General:
· Reviewed RFP for Federal Farmland Program FY 2005
Possible projects for grant discussed.
· Melissa Spiro's status report handed out and status of offers reviewed

END OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
Informational:
· Planning Board Subdivision and Site Plan Workshop scheduled for
Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m., at Southold
School. Agenda distributed. All members invited to attend.
· Dorset Farms, Inc. (Carroll): closing held Friday, February 18, 2005
· Outreach letter to farm owners of 10 acres or more discussed.
Next Regular Meeting:
The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in Conference
Room, at 7:00 p.m.
