Dear Mr. Herrmann:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday, April 30, 2003 regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, En-Consultants, Inc. on behalf of ANGELA & GUS KLA V AS applied to the
Southold Town Trustees for a pennit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town
Code, the WeIland Ordinance of the Town of South old, applicalion dated April 3, 2003, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and,

WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
April 30, 2003, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documenlation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold
Town Code,

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,
safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of ANGELA & GUS
KLA V AS to install new l"X 20' tie rods and 8" diameter X 8' anchor pilings (deadmen) to
straighten existing +/-84' timber bulkhead (to remain). Backfill with approx. 75 cy. of clean sand
fill to be trucked in from an approved upland source, and with the condilion that the bulkhead is
in line with the bulkheads to the north and south, a 10' non-turf buffer is installed behind the
bulkhead, and as depicted on the site plan prepared by En-Consultants, Inc. last revised April 30,
2003.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date the permit is signed.
Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months ofthe date of this
nolification.
Inspections are required at a fee of$5.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)

CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Wednesday,
April 16, 2003, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Bob Ghosio, seconded by Tom Schlichter, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH
A CONDITION of the Wetland Permit application of ANGELA & GUS KLAVAS to install
new 1 "X 20' tie rods and 8" diameter X 8' anchor pilings (dead men) to straighten
existing +/-84' timber bulkhead (to remain). Backfill with approx. 75 cy. of clean sand fill
to be trucked in from an approved upland source.
Located: 1155 Arshamomaque Ave., Southold. SCTM#66-3-6
The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the Condition of a 10'-20' non-
turf buffer behind the bulkhead.
