At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Monday,
November 17, 2003, the following recommendation was made:

The CAC did not make an inspection, therefore no recommendation was made.

Dear Mr. Wieser,
I visited the property at Pond Ridge, Southold, NY following our
conversation.
I concluded that the health of the remaining trees is currently
in jeapordy and may possibly die. It is my opinion that the
vines currently choking the trees be removed. In addition, the
dead wood and dead limbs should be removed, so that more nutrients
can reach the healthy limbs. The excessive growth of wild grape,
bittersweet, poison ivy, etc .... at the base of the trees should
be removed as well. Then a balanced fertilizer applied to the
roots of the Maples and Walnut trees, should quickstart the road
to recovery.
If these steps are taken, I feel, you can save these trees. If
not they may continue to deteriorate and die.
If Doroski's Nursery can be of assistance, do not hesitate to call.
