Re: Backfill of Sand for Bulkhead
To whom it may concern-
We have lost a lot of backfill in our bulkhead during the last storm this year
And would like to get your permission to refill with clean sand from an
upland source. We would need approximately 2 cubic yards to replace the
Washed out sand.
Enclosed is a copy of the permit that we have received at the time when the
bulkhead was repaired in 2000.

Dear Mr. Herrmann:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on October 27, 1999 regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, En-Consultants, Inc. on behalf of MICHAEL CURTIN & OLGA
KAMMERER applied to the Southo1d Town Trustees for a permit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of
Southo1d, application dated September 3, 1999, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on October 27, 1999, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code,

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that
will not affect the health, safety and
people of the town,
the project as proposed
general welfare of the
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of
MICHAEL CURTIN & OLGA KAMMERER to construct a +/- 132' timber
bulkhead (within 12" of existing concrete seawall) with an 8'
easterly return, and backfill with approx. 150 c.y. of clean
sand fill to be trucked in from an upland source. New bulkhead
to be l' higher in elevation than existing seawal1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years
from the date it is signed. Fees must be· paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.
