This application must be filled in by typewriter or ink and submitted to the Building Department with the following:
A. For new building or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or
topographic features.

I conducted several inspection during the past few months of the work at the Pilcer residence at
25105 Main Road in Orient. This included an inspection of the concrete footings and pier
foundations for the porches as well as the framing and strapping. a final inspection of the work
was conducted on October 1, 2004.
All of the work was found to be completed in accordance with the attached amended plans and
the New York State Building Code.

Gentlemen:
The following are in answer to your questions relative to the Application for Building Permit for the
renovation and repairs at the Pilcer residence at 25105 Main Road in Orient.
• The existing windows in the building are to be replaced in kind with no relocation or
enlargement of the existing window openings. The glazing in the windows to be used
have a U value of 0.48.
• The ceiling height in the second floor bathroom which is to be renovated is 7 feet. The
ceiling in the existing second floor bedroom is vaulted and is in excess of 7'/z feet.
• The existing stair to the second floor is to be widened to 3 feet.
• The front porch is existing and will be demolished and reconstructed. The width of the
porch across the front of the building is to be shortened from what is currently installed to
clear a tree that is currently touching the front of the existing porch.
• The interior renovation work is non structural and primarily involves updating of existing
bathroom spaces, replacement of wall ceiling and floor finishes.
