The referenced existing residence is further than 75 feet from the edge of wetlands (Little
Peconic Bay); we therefore are requesting a waiver from the Board of Trustees, You
have site plan drawings and a check from our office, You will note that the existing
beach house is closer to the water than the required minimum, and that we are
requesting action from your board separately (Grandfather) before proceeding with
renovation of that structure,

The above referenced property was reviewed. As per the site plan
dated 12/6/96, the proposed renovations to the house are out of
the Trustees Jurisdiction. Please note any active within 75'
will need a permit from this office.
The Grandfather permit for the beach house will be reviewed at
the January 29, regular meeting of the Trustees.
This dose not constitute any approvals from any other agency.

The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on November 22, 1996, regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, DOUGLAS BORISKY applied to the Southold Town
Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland
Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated October 28,
1996, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on November 22, 1996, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
,WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code,

To Whom it May Concern:
Weare planning a minor improvement to a structure on our property. Because the
structure is located close to Peconic Bay, we wanted to confirm that the Trustees' approva1 is not
required for the work,
The work that we are planning is the construction of a small (less than 200 square
feet) bluestone patio. The patio will consist simply of bluest one slabs laid on the existing ground
(which is sand) and will not be set in concrete or otherwise permanently set in place, The patio
will not have any walls or a roof. The patio will be located behind our beach house, which sits
approximately 16 feet behind an existing bulkheading on the Bay front. The beach house
measures approximately 26 feet from front to back; thus the patio will begin approximately 42
feet behind the bulkheading, We have marked the approximate location of the patio on the
attached copy of the survey of our property.
We would appreciate your confirmation that the construction of the patio will not
require the approval of the Trustees or, alternatively, please notify us as to the procedures to be
followed for obtaining such approval. If you need any further information, please contact us at
the address set out above.
