Box 617 Cutchogue NY 11935 Re: ALEX KOUTSOUBIS SCTM #30-2-64 Dear Mr. Fitzgerald, The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during a Regular Meeting, held on January 26, 2000, regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, ALEX KOUTSOUBIS, applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated January 6, 2000 and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on January 26, 2000, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, . . NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of ALEX KOUTSOUBIS to construct a stairway from top of bluff to beach measuring 88'6" with four 4' X 8' landings and a 4' X 8' platform on top of bluff. Located: 1610 The Strand, East Marion. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Permit to construct and complete proiect will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. Had I known that additional approval was re- quired for the specified activities of the complaint, I could have and would have simply included those activities on one of the other permit applications. · The Town Trustees have already approved and issued an amendment to my permit for the . construction of the stairs which includes all the activities specified in the complaint, with- out any requirement for remediation concerning the activities specified, Please be advised that my agent, James Fitzgerald, discussed this matter with the Town Attorney who proposed a fine of$500, My check for that amount is enclosed. It is my understanding that the acceptance of the plea and of the amount of the proposed fine is, of course, subject to the Coun's approval.
