Reeve 400 Cherokee Road Charlotte, NC 28207 Re: 480 Sunset Path SCTM#54-1-17 Dear Mr. Reeve: Recent severe erosion on the Sound bluffs xvithin the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area have led to increased awareness of the effects of upland activity on the Sound bluffs. The simple, long-term solution is to design the proposed project to contain the upland run-off on-site, thus protecting the bluff and the owner's property. This is the Board of Trustees' position on all properties in the Town that will affect either the bluffs or surface waters and wetlands. Please feel free to review our records to see what similar projects have done to accomplish this m-off retention, bluff protection problem. Very truly yours, Albert J. The Southold Town Board of Trustees has concerns about the run-offfi-om the site impacting the board's jurisdiction. This project should have an engineer's report showing all run-offbeing contained on site to prevent disturbance to the coastal erosion hazard area. 400 Cherokee Road Charlotte, NC 28207 704-358-0055 631-765-1208 (Southold) September 17, 2001 Mr. Albert J. Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971-0959 Dear Mr. Krupski, RE: 480 Sunset Path, Southold SCTM #54-1-17 On October 30, 2000, you provided us with a letter of non- jurisdiction regarding our existing dwelling and the building envelope on our lot at 480 Sunset Path. We have also received a letter of non-jurisdiction from the DEC. We have now completed our plans for construction on the lot and have updated our survey to reflect the plans. Our intent from the beginning has been to seek no variances regarding wetlands or regarding extensions beyond the authorized building envelope. To assure that we are meeting all the requirements of the Town wetland requirements, I would appreciate it if you would review the attached survey and plan and if it is acceptable, issue a new letter of non-jurisdiction based on this actual plan. Thank you very much. Respectfully, Ronald D. Reeve Attachments Albert J. I<rupski, President James King, Vice-President Henry Smith Artie Foster Ken Poliwoda Town Hall 53095 Route 25 P.O.
