As per our telephone conversation of this date, please be advised that Pernfit #5272 xvas
written in error. Therefore, it is null and void. There was a clerical error and the pernfit
should not have been processed. The applicant must apply for a Wetland Permit
(application attached), since the dock is 50% non-functional. There is also an additional
charge of $100.00
We xvould appreciate you returning the original permit xvhen you submit the new
application. The application must be in our office by March 1, 2001 so that it can be
placed in the legal notices and that the meeting will be held on March 21, 2001

received a request for Department of the Army authorization for
the following activity:

ACTIVITY:
Reconstruct a 148 linear foot portion of a
deteriorated 172 foot long by 7 foot wide fixed
timber pier, with an associated ladder, two
mooring piles, and five 2-pile mooring dolphins.
The purpose of this project is to provide a
recreational mooring facility.
WATERWAY:
West Harbor, Long Island Sound
LOCATION:
Fishers Island, Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
New York
As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c) (3) (A)), the applicant
has certified that the activity complies with and will be
conducted in a manner that is consistent with the approved state
coastal zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject
application, your comments are requested within 15 days of
date of this letter.
