Dear Ms. Moore:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during a Regular Meeting, held on
November 19th 2003 regarding the above matter.
WHEREAS, Patricia C. Moore, Esq.. on behalf of Dr. William Lois applied to the Southold
Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of
Southold, application dated October 31, 2003
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
November 19th, 2003 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,

WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97-18 ofthe Southold
Town Code.
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,
Safety and general welfare ofthe people ofthe town.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees Approved Wetland Permit for DR. WILLIAM LOIS
for renovations to existing residence and detached garage - proposed covered porch along
waterfront and all sides of house, 8xl5 addition on west side of house in line with existing
residence, dormer second floor, garage landward of existing residence, sanitary if required by
Health Department, raise foundation if required, removal of drainage pipe going off the lawn-
towards the Sound. Drywells and leaders for roof run-off.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination
made for any other Department or Agency, which may also have an application pending for the
same or similar proj ecl.
Fee must be paid, if applicable and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
If inspections are required, at a fee of$5.00 per inspection (See attached schedule).

CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Monday,
November 17, 2003, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Don Wilder, seconded by William Cook, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH
STIPULATIONS of the Wetland Permit application of WILLIAM LOIS to renovate the
. existing residence and an 8'X 15' addition to the existing residence, covered porch
added and garage in front yard, and new sanitary system in front yard if required by the
Health Dept.
Located: 58105 North Rd., Greenport. SCTM#44-2-8
The CAC recommends Approval of the application with the following Stipulations:
1. . There is no encroachment seaward of the existing residence.
2. Rip-rap should be installed to slow down the erosion.
3. A mound and swale should be installed above the coastal erosion hazard
line to prevent run-off.

Renovation to existing residence
Dear President Krupski
and Board:
Enclosed is my check and an application for
renovation to owner~ s existing residence. The renovation
includes a covered ~orch and 8 x 15 addition on the west
side of the house. 'Also proposed is a garage which is to
be constructed landward of the existing residence.
I have also include items which may be required by
other agencies: new sanitary, and raised foundation due
to the Flood Zone requirements. The renovation will be
less then 50% of the market value of the structures
therefore we do not intend to raise the foundation,
however, during construction unexpected repairs may be
required. \ Since the house will be exposed to the Long
Island Sound Iwe do not want the language of the wetland
permit to beGQme an issue which could interfere with the
constructio~~ork.

Renovation to existing residence
Dear President Krupski
and Board:
Enclosed is my check and an application for
renovation to owner's existing residence. The renovation
includes a covered porch and 8 x 15 addition on the west
side of the house. Also proposed is a garage which is to
be constructed landward of the existing residence.
I have also include items which may be required by
other agencies: new sanitary, and raised foundation due
to the Flood Zone requirements. The renovation will be
less then 50% of the market value of the structures
therefore we do not intend to raise the foundation,
however, during construction unexpected repairs may be
required. Since the house will be exposed to the Long
Island Sound we do not want the language of the wetland
permit to become an issue which could interfere with the
construction work.
