The project includes some clearing within 100' of the freshwater wetlands to facilitate the construction of two (2) masonry retaining walls and some regrading of slopes. These activities are further described as follows: Construct a masonry retaining wall, approximately 138' in length and varying in height from 1' to 5', on the westerly side of the wetland. Regrade an area of approximately 3,000 square feet in the vicinity of this retaining wall and revegetate with plant materials approved by the NYSDEC. Regrade an area of approximately 2,800 square feet on the easterly side of the wetland and revegetate with plant materials approved by the NYSDEC. Construct an improved pedestrian path, along the existing unimproved access path. All pedestrian paths constructed within 100' of the wetlands shall not exceed 4' in width and shall be surfaced with wood chips and/or other surface material approved by the NYSDEC. All bare earth adjacent to the proposed wood chip pedestrian paths within 100' of the wetlands shall be seeded with wildttower mix. Construct a masonry retaining wall, approximately 275' in length and varying in height from 1' to 11' on the northerly side of the wetland.
