Dear Mrs. Wexler:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on May 24, 2000 regarding the
above matter:
WHEREAS, Donna Wexler on behalf of STIRLING HARBOR SHIPYARD &
MARINA applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under
the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold,
application dated April 13, 2000 and,
WHEREAS, said application was
Conservation Advisory Council
recommendations, and,
referred to the Southold Town
for their findings and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on May 24, 2000 at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies' with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of
STIRLING HARBOR SHIPYARD & MARINA to replace 42 pilings and 141
bulkhead pilings and 600' staving (yellow) and remove concrete
that is broken and replace with sand & gravel.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years
from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

D. Coast Erosion }lazard Area {CENA):
1. Minor projects: $50.00 for all projects where there
will be less than 100 cubic yards of excavation, grading,
mining, filling or dredgi'ng: construction or modification
of open catwalks, docks, stairs, floats, piers and wharves
not exceeding six (6) feet in width; construction or
modification of erosion protection structures not exceeding
100 linear feet in length; minor building construction of
less than or equal to 25% as denoted in Chapter 37.
2. Major Projects: $100.00 for all projects in excess of
minor projects and for any building construction or
modification greater than 25% as denoted in Chapter 37.
3. Variance under Chapter 37: Applications which reguire
variance will cost $250.00, whether a minor or major
project.

This/hcility is open for operation 24 hours a day as an unassisted facility. It is open
fi'om 7:30 AM until 6:00PM if assistance is required for a pump out.
This facility has been used by Stirling Harbor Manna & Ship., ard .-u<tomers in
the past and will remain available for pump out use by their customers. We service all
local and visiting boats with this station.
