Greenport, NY 11944 Re: 450 Snug Harbor Rd., Greenport SCTM#35-5-33 Dear Dr. & Mrs. Claps: The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on April 19, 2000 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, VINCENT & BARBARA CLAPS applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated March 29, 2000 and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and, WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on April 19, 2000 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, . . WHEREAS, the Board has determined that will not affect the health, safety and people of the town, the project as proposed general welfare of the NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of VINCENT & BARBARA CLAPS to place (1) 6'X 20' floating dock parallel to property against existing bulkhead, a 30"X 10' wood ramp going down existing concrete ramp to handrail (2) 10"X 25' pilings to support float, (1) 4'X 5' landing platform to handrail and 100' of bulkhead with the condition that there is to be a 10' non-turf buffer behind the bulkhead and that all of the asphalt must be removed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or Agency which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. New York 11971 SOUTHOLD TOWN CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Tuesday, April ll, 2000, the following recommendation was made: Moved by Scott Hilary, seconded by Richard Smith, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL WITH A STIPULATION of the Wetland Permit Application of VINCENT & BARBARA CLAPS 35-5- 33 10 place (2) 6'X 20' floating docks parallel to property against existing bulkhead, a 30"X 10' wood ramp going down existing concrete ramp 10 handrail, (2) IO"X 25' pilings to support floats, (I) 4'X 5' landing platform to handrail and 100' of bulkhead. 450 Snug Harbor Rd., Greenport The CAC recommends Approval with the Stipulation that a 10' non-turf buffer be established to improve the current problem, which includes remaining existing asphalt and decking.
