As discussed during the field inspection, the deck on the eastern side of the house has been reduced to 5'-0" and will also involve the removal of the existing shower and mechanicals. On the western side of the property, we have indicated the existing cobble stone driveway edge, and the 2'-0" beyond the driveway where we wish to start the new boulder retaining wall for the permeable stone parking area. The Department has no objection to your designation as lead agency. Based on a review of the subject coordination, the Department offers the following comments. These comments should not be construed as an implicit SCDHS approval or rejection of the project. All applications are reviewed thoroughly with respect to Suffolk County Sanitary Code (SCSC) concerns by appropriate departmental personnel when SCDHS applications are completed. Due to the fact that the upgrading of the sewage disposal facilities for this single family dwelling will require new outside plumbing, and possible relocation, an application to SCDHS Office of Wastewater Management is required. The applicant must comply with the requirements of the Suffolk County Sanitary Code and relevant construction standards for water supply and sewage disposal. Design and flow specifications, subsurface soil conditions, and complete site plan details are essential to the review of this project. These considerations are reviewed completely at the time of SCDHS application. They are installing duct work, cutting holes inside and outside their home to install central air conditioning. They are also installing the electrical and plumbing work associated with central air conditioning. They have also attached a structure to their home that holds the A/C compressor. See attached photos . They have also constructed a new and larger floating dock, a larger cat walk and extended the fixed dock without the necessary permits . The old smaller floating dock is still attached by rope and is damaging the marsh grass and bottom. All of the new docks double the shadow size are affecting the marine life .
