Dear Mr. Talgat,
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on April 27, 1995 regarding the
above matter:
WHEREAS, Ural Talgat on behalf of ARTO KHRIMIAN, applied
to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions
of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application
dated March 21, 1995 and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on April 27, 1995, at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code, which will be listed on
a separate page, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
ARTO KHRIMIAN to renovate an existing building which
includes a wood structure with a concrete block foùndation and a
glass frame structure (greenhouse) on a concrete slab.
Applicant wishes to renovate the entire structure which includes
encompassing the wood frame structure and the glass framed
structure under one new roof using original footprint and
foundation. The liveable floor area of the existing building,
with the renovations, will not be increased. Located: 58365
County Rd. 48, Greenport. SCTM #44-2-13
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit
issued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

Dear Sirs,
The above mentioned residence is a one family dwelling. The structure covers approximately a
16 X 35.5 foot area, which is surrounded by a walkway approximately between 3 and 6 feet wide.
The existing building includes a wood frame structure with a concrete block foundation and a
glass framed structure (greenhouse) on a concrete slab. Both structures make up the liveable
floor area of the building. The building is insufficiently insulated. The glass framed structure is ,n
need of major reconstruction and the many roofs of the building provide locations for abundant
roof leaks. Each small section of the structure has its own roof, which is virtually the ceiling as
well. This causes the inside of the building to become unbearably hot during the days of the
summer months.
The owner would like to renovate the entire structure so that the building meebcurrent state and
local building codes. The renovations would include encompassing the wood framed structure and
the glass framed structure under one, new, roof, by using the original footprint and foundation.
The glass framed structure, which will be enclosed by the new roof, will have two new concrete
piers to support the new floor, walls and roof. The existing foundation, floor and walls of the wood
framed structure will remain. The liveable floor area of the existing building, with the renovations,
will not be increased. The interior of the reconstructed building will have a double height space,
increasing only the volume of space in the building, making it feel larger, but not increasing the
liveable floor area.
We are requesting a permit from your agency, so that we may move ahead with this project. The
project currently has a permit from the DEC for the renovations.
We would appreciate your attention in this matter and will answer any questions the board
members may have.

APPROVAL WITH STIPULATIONS of the Wetland Application of JOSEPH ST.
PIERRE 79-1-6 to remove and replace (in same location and configuration) 93
I. f. of existing timber bulkhead. Backfill with 10 c. y. of spoil to be taken
from an area up to 10' off bulkhead and maximum depth 3' below MLW. Two
existing timber groins (west 8'; east 12') will be refaced with new sheathing
without alteration of overall lengths. Remove (without replacement) existing
platform and stairs. Install a 3' x 12' hinged ramp off an existing off an
existing walkway on top of westerly groin. Ramp will rest upon proposed 6' x
16' float secured by slides and rings to bulkhead.

The CAC recommends approval for most of the project. There is no need for
the dredging therefore the Council recommends disapproval of that portion of
the application. The applicant should maintain a 20' non-turf buffer 20'
behind the bulkhead.

recommendation.

pier, two elevator lifts, 3' x 20' ramp, 7' x 30' float, ~ float piles and ~
mooring piles.

In regards to the above mentioned permit, we would like to amend the permit to include
renovations to the building. The existing building and greenhouse do not meet current
state and local building code regulations. The building is insufficiently insulated and
heated. The greenhouse structure is need of major reconstruction and the many roofs of
the building provide locations for abundant roof leaks. The owner would like to renovate
the entire structure so that the building meet current state and local building codes. The
renovations would also include encompassing the wood framed building and greenhouse
structure under one, new, roof. The project property has a permit from the DEC for the
renovations, and plans are being reviewed at the town building department for a building
permit.
